On the way home from school yesterday I was wearing sunglasses as it was so lovely and bright (my eyes couldn’t take the sunshine!). Anyway, I saw a tree which appeared to have gorgeous, almost New England-esque foliage against a deep blue sky and I stood staring at the beauty of it for a little while. I rushed into the house after that to grab my camera, came outside and took a photo before I missed the moment. And here it is.
Hmm, not especially autumnal or glorious, I can hear you saying. That is exactly what I thought as I looked at the image captured by my trusty Fujifilm Finepix f450. Then it struck me what I must do to recreate the magic of the scene as I came upon it on my way home. How’s this?
What do you think? There’s a bit of a difference, don’t you think? I’ll share my secret. The first picture was a normal photo, taken as I usually would. For the second photo I held my sunglasses in front of the lens – my first attempt at the use of a colour lens! How’s that for ingenuity!
