My mother has today written a very good post about the credit crunch. She (no offence, Mum!) has years more experience and memories to draw on than me, and can give a much more rational perspective than the media at present seems to be offering.

I thought something was familiar about this year’s race for the White House. I thought that fiction was supposed to mimic real life, not the other way round!
